There are many ways to get involved and make a difference in our church, community or world. If you want to serve, we can find a place for you whatever your abilities or time requirements.
Here are some of the many ways you can get involved:
- Join the Heritage Prayer Fellowship group and receive a weekly list of prayer requests
- Pray while you knit a shawl for a person in need of prayers
- Provide gifts for families at the Women's Center at Christmas time
- Deposit your loose change in the collection plate on the third Sunday of the month for the Women's Center
- Volunteer to provide lunch and fellowship for ASLC campers during the summer
- Work with Milwaukee's Common Ground on one of their initiatives. We support Milwaukee Rising and Water Shed and some of our members are involved with other initiatives.
- Get involved with Ezekiel Hope, revitalizing Milwaukee neighborhoods. Help provide lunches to the workers. We are exploring possibilities for helping with preparing and finishing at home sites.
- Train to be a host at Tippecanoe Church for Divine Intervention, an interfaith cold weather and homeless ministry or prepare and serve meals through their S.O.S. program.
- Participate in one of our special services that benefit our mission partners
- Volunteer to deliver meals to members or others in need
- Volunteer to give rides to seniors in need of transportation
- Serve coffee or provide treats for Sunday morning fellowship times
- Lead or participate in a Bible Study
- Participate in a Presbytery-wide mission trip
- Serve as a liturgist, usher, or musician for one of our services or sing in our choir
- Add your own idea, we are always open to suggestions
